Sarah Michelle Gellar Opens Up About Acting Break After Robin Williams’ Death

After Robin Williams’ passing, Sarah Michelle Gellar is being candid about taking a sabbatical from acting. After her co-star from The Crazy Ones passed away, the actor took time away from her work to think about and absorb what had happened.

“I have worked all of my life. There was simply so much going on in my life when I had kids, immediately following Robin’s death, that I just thought, “I need to take a vacation,” she stated in an interview with People.

Between 2013 and 2014, Gellar and Williams contributed to the CBS sitcom. Williams’ final television acting performance was in the one-season run of the David E. Kelley show on the eye network.

She continued, “I need to be here for my kids during these early, important years.” To be the kind of parent I wanted to be, I needed that break.

Freddie Prinze Jr., an actor, and Gellar have two children together: Charlotte Grace (12) and Rocky James (9). Gellar discovered the ideal opportunity to return to acting with Wolf Pack now that her children are older.

Gellar would be joining the Paramount+ supernatural series rooted in the Teen Wolf universe, according to a recent rumour from Deadline. The former Buffy the Vampire Slayer actor would executive produce the programme in addition to acting in it.

The film Wolf Pack, which is based on the Edo Van Belkom book series, centres on a teenage boy (Armani Jackson) and girl (Bella Shepard) whose lives are irrevocably altered when a horrific supernatural beast comes to life as a result of a California wildfire.

Gellar will play Kristin Ramsey, an arson investigator who is well-known in her field and has experienced loss firsthand. She was hired by the authorities to find the teenage arsonist behind a devastating wildfire that may have also been the catalyst for the reawakening of a supernatural predator terrorising Los Angeles.
