Every Actor Confirmed & Rumored to Appear in The Mandalorian Season 3 Cast

Fans will finally return to the Mandoverse in early 2023 with Season 3 of The Mandalorian when the galaxy far, far away enters 2023. Fans of Mando are aware that this is the Way.

After its first two seasons in 2019 and 2020, both of which garnered huge accolades and more than a dozen combined awards at the Emmys, Lucasfilm’s inaugural Disney+ program is still going strong. The Book of Boba Fett provided a little respite for the cast in late 2021 and early 2022, but now Din Djarin, Grogu, and the company will return for another eight-episode adventure.

Season 3 debuted in full during Star Wars Celebration 2022 in Anaheim, California, in May 2022, with fans getting an early look at new episodes long before they were officially released. This upcoming batch of storylines, which could be the largest ever given that the program helped launch Disney+’s streaming run, teases a deeply emotional journey for Mando as he returns to Mandalore to plead for forgiveness for his sins.

The key question at this point, given all the recent developments in the Star Wars world, is who exactly will appear in Season 3. Based on statements made by the performers and anticipated narrative points, there are a few obvious options. Additionally, guests of the Star Wars Celebration were informed that even more Season 1 and Season 2 players would be returning.

Here are 13 Star Wars characters that have been confirmed or are expected to appear in Season 3 of The Mandalorian from Lucasfilm.

Characters confirmed for Season 3

The Mandalorian/Din Djarin by Pedro Pascal

Unsurprisingly, after a brief cameo in The Book of Boba Fett in 2022, the most well-known Mandalorian from the Star Wars universe and the star of The Mandalorian will return to action. Din Djarin and the orphan Grogu will be reunited with the Darksaber’s most dynamic duo as they face off against brand-new obstacles and foes.

Bo-Katan Kryze and Katee Sackhoff

Even though she didn’t confront Din Djarin for custody of the Darksaber at the end of Season 2, Bo-Katan is still one of Mandalore’s most fierce leaders. She and Mando will face off against one another in Season 3 footage as she attempts to wreak revenge against the show’s main hero while wielding more power.

Sackhoff recently discussed whether she anticipates joining Rosario Dawson in the upcoming Ahsoka television series.

Greef Karga by Carl Weathers

Greef Karga, played by Carl Weathers, will return for Season 3 in addition to taking on more directing responsibilities. However, fans last saw him break up with Mando after giving the hero a position in the Bounty Hunters’ Guild once more. Even after the way “Chapter 16” between him and Din Djarin ended, he assumes a higher leadership position in Navarro while continuing to have a close relationship with Din Djarin.

Weathers revealed how the plot of Season 3 would develop and include more action in the summer of 2022.

Emmanuel Esposito Mr. Gideon

When fans last saw Giancarlo Esposito’s Moff Gideon, he was attempting suicide but was stopped by the Mandalorian, who had just defeated him and taken the prized Darksaber. The supervillain is now out for vengeance after being apprehended and is attempting to reclaim Mandalore’s coveted saber.

Esposito once again demonstrated why he is The Mandalorian’s biggest hype man by hinting at what would happen in Season 3 in recent weeks without providing any spoilers.

The Armorer Emily Swallow

The Armorer imposed the law on Din Djarin during her final appearance in The Book of Boba Fett, banishing him from the Mandalorian faith as retribution for taking off his helmet. Although the details of her Season 3 plot are unknown, it seems that Mando will make an effort to win her back, and she will make sure he strictly abides by Mandalorian law in doing so.

The Armorer almost didn’t survive through Season 1 during initial production, despite the fact that she shows no indications of disappearing anytime soon.

Doctor Pershing is Omid Abtahi.

Omid Abtahi’s Dr. Pershing, who appeared at Star Wars Celebration, will return for Season 3 after switching sides and aiding Team Mando. Pershing continues to toe the line between right and wrong as his actions have an impact on upcoming episodes, betraying Moff Gideon and aiding the Mandalorian in rescuing Grogu.

Check out Abtahi’s remarks regarding his experience on The Mandalorian after the Season 2 finale in 2020 for a journey down memory lane.

Carson Teva – Paul Sun-Hyung Lee

Paul Sun-Hyung Lee, who has only appeared in two of The Mandalorian’s 16 chapters, will return in Season 3 as the much-loved X-wing pilot Captain Carson Teva, who excelled with series creator Dave Filoni. He’ll once again serve as a representative for the New Republic warriors as he steals the show alongside Team Mando, but it’s unknown what his position will be in Season 3.

Peli Motto by Amy Sedaris

Amy Sedaris has now been credited with three episodes of The Mandalorian, with at least one more to come in Season 3. This is in addition to her two appearances in this year’s The Book of Boba Fett. Next year, when she finds herself in front of the dynamic duo of Mando and Grogu once more, Sedaris will be stationed at the Mos Eisley spaceport on Tatooine and is sure to provide another round of laughter.

Disney encouraged Sedaris to be considered for an Emmy Award in the Best Supporting Actress category in 2022 for her performance in Season 2.

Actor Tim Meadows, unknown

Tim Meadows, a former cast member of Saturday Night Live, is slated for an unnamed part in Season 3 of The Mandalorian. Meadows has a storied career in comedy. Although an actor of Meadows quality will only make the series more of a must-see event when it launches on Disney+ next year, he has kept mute on what he will be doing in the Star Wars universe.

Meadows appears on the series’ official poster, which made its premiere at the Star Wars Celebration even though he wasn’t among the cast of actors that attended.

Actor Christopher Lloyd, unknown

Christopher Lloyd, best known for playing Dr. Emmett Brown in the Back to the Future films, is now adding a project from a galaxy far, far away to his extensive CV. While the specifics of his role are currently unknown, Lloyd joins the Star Wars universe as yet another well-known figure, and his character ought to be one to keep an eye out for when Season 3 debuts.

Axe Wolves by Simon Kassianides

Simon Kassianides was pictured on site playing the Mandalorian warrior Axe Wolves again, despite the fact that his inclusion in the cast has not yet been confirmed. His previous allegiances were to Katee Sackhoff’s Bo-Katan Kryze, making him a potentially challenging foe for Din Djarin and company in Bo-desire Katan’s to reclaim the Darksaber and establish his authority over Mandalore.

IG-11 Taika Waititi (ADR)

Taika Waititi, who had a rocky tenure as the director of Marvel Studios’ Thor: Love and Thunder, is anticipated to make a surprise appearance as IG-11 in Season 3 of The Mandalorian. Despite the fact that the droid blew up at the end of Season 1, theories suggest that he might be connected to Grogu’s new mech suit, which was depicted in The Book of Boba Fett, or he might even be a brand-new droid.

Waititi has directed “Chapter 8: Redemption” in addition to playing IG-11, and he is apparently planning to direct another episode in Season 3.

Won’t Come Back?

Koska Reeves and Sasha Banks

Sasha Banks, a professional wrestler, said she wouldn’t reprise her part as Koska Reeves, who appeared in two chapters of Season 2 as a member of Mandalore’s Night Owls. Fans wouldn’t be surprised to see her return in some capacity, though, given the important role that Bo-Katan is playing and the rumors that Axe Wolves may team up with her in the battle against Din Djarin. Banks has previously exaggerated her appearances.

The Mandalorian season 3 is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ sometime in February 2023.
