A MAN from North Ayrshire has been detained and accused of allegedly driving under the influence of drugs.
The 26-year-old motorist was allegedly stopped by police on Ardrossan’s Milglen Road at 8 p.m. yesterday (December 23), who wanted to make sure he was fit to drive. During their search, police claimed they found the motorist was in possession of a small amount of an illicit substance.
The Kilwinning driver was also discovered to be under the influence of narcotics.
He was detained and charged with drug driving offenses, with a report being issued to the procurator fiscal.
