Joseph Quinn appears in Season 3 of Bridgerton. (Explaining rumours)

There is no greater example of a breakout star than Joseph Quinn, a recent Stranger Things cast member and undisputed internet darling. For season four of the Netflix Original, the 29-year-old British actor, who plays the endearing Eddie Munson, joins the group. He is the founder of The Hellfire Club, and after he is falsely accused of killing someone, the Hawkins kids embark on an investigation to establish his innocence. When he met his tragic end in the season 4 finale, fans who had fallen head over heels in love with the character lost it.

Now that Bridgerton season 3 is rumoured to include Quinn in it, everyone wants Quinn to be cast in more Netflix series. With roles in programmes like Dickensian and Catherine the Great, the Game of Thrones veteran is no stranger to historical dramas. But does it imply that he will soon work with Simone Ashley and Jonathan Bailey? We are not persuaded.

Was Eddie Munson’s character Joseph Quinn cast in Bridgerton?

This claim appears to have begun on Twitter, when someone shared an image of a purported message from the @DiscussingFilm account. This website regularly posts TV and movie news with a source. However, if you visit their account right now, you won’t see the tweet there. That either implies they removed it or it was never there in the first place. Anyone might have altered it using Photoshop. We’ve contacted Discussing Film, and once or if we hear back from them, we’ll update this post.

Look at the purported tweet:

Quinn and Bridgerton are not mentioned in a simple Google search for Deadline.

As these things naturally do these days, the word spread to TikTok, where people either pleaded for Quinn to be cast in Bridgerton or firmly believed that he had been. After posting a TikTok claiming she wanted to appear in the Netflix Original, user Cat Quinn received a lot of attention, including from one of the cast members, Nicola Coughlan. The message claimed that Coughlan loved Quinn’s video and made a suggestion that a covert casting could be taking place. Either that, or the Bridgerton actor is only a Quinn admirer.

Although we don’t blame fans for wanting Joseph Quinn to appear in Bridgerton season 3, it currently appears that there isn’t any solid evidence to support it. We’ll be closely monitoring these speculations and making sure to keep you informed of any any possible developments.

Bridgerton and Stranger Things are currently available to view on Netflix.
