Fans of Virgin River will be happy to hear that work on season 5 has begun.
This week, an Media Company got an exclusive interview with Annette O’Toole, who plays Hope McCrea. The actress also talked about Virgin River season 5, as well as the July 20 premiere of season 4.
O’Toole said that she was going to Canada, where the show is made, to meet up with the rest of the cast. She told Press, “I’m actually leaving tomorrow to go to Canada to film season five.”
When asked what will happen in season 5 of Virgin River, O’Toole said she couldn’t say anything because she doesn’t know what will happen (at least not yet). “I only have the first two scripts, so I don’t know what happens yet,” she said. “But based on what I’ve read, it’s going to be good.”
Even though this is a secret, this is great news for fans of Virgin River because filming was supposed to start in March 2022, but it was put off. Alexandra Breckenridge, who plays Mel, told fans about the delay and said that it gave her a chance to play Sophie again on This Is Us.
“Season five of Virgin River was supposed to start filming in March, but it was moved to July,” she said. “So, I don’t know if Sophie and Kevin would have ended up together if we had started when we were supposed to.”
If there aren’t any more delays, season 5 of Virgin River might not be pushed back after all. Fans can expect the fifth one to come out about this time next year. For now, let’s start counting down the days until season 4.
