Today in Sydney’s southwest, a juvenile boy was detained for an alleged stabbing. Emergency services were sent to Canley Vale Road, Canley Heights, about 6.50 a.m. on Sunday, February 20, 2022, after reports of a stabbing.

Officers from the Fairfield City Police Area Command arrived and discovered two 17-year-old lads who had been stabbed. The youngsters were reportedly strolling along Canley Vale Road when two men got out of a black Toyota Celica and stabbed and battered them before leaving in the Toyota.

Paramedics from NSW Ambulance treated both adolescents before transporting them to Liverpool Hospital. One of the youngsters is still in critical condition at the hospital, with injuries to his head, back, and internal organs. Since then, the other has been released.

An inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the event began once a crime scene was formed. Following enquiries, a 17-year-old boy was apprehended at a residence in Bossley Park at about 12 p.m. today (Sunday, February 20, 2022).

He was transported to the Fairfield Police Station and is now aiding officers with their investigations. Officers spotted and confiscated a black Toyota Celica outside a unit complex on Charles Street in Liverpool about 2 p.m. after additional investigation (Sunday, February 20, 2022).

As the investigation continues, police have issued a description of a man they think may be able to help them. The individual is described as being in his late teens, around 180cm tall, with a goatee beard and amulet style hairdo. He was dressed in a grey sweatshirt with a little black emblem on the chest, light-colored shoes, and grey shorts.
