‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Returns with A New Class for Season 19

The longest-running prime-time medical drama on television, “Grey’s Anatomy” has just begun its 19th season, making it the current leader in this category.

The Grey Sloan Memorial residency programme was terminated after the conclusion of Season 18 of the show. The role of interim chief of surgery was taken over by Meredith Grey, who is portrayed by Ellen Pompeo.

The first episode of the new season, titled “Everything has Changed,” reveals that the residency programme at Grey Sloan Memorial has been brought back into operation.

An excerpt from the show’s synopsis reads as follows: “A group of talented and striving young interns have been recruited while the attending surgeons attempt to return the programme to its former glory.”

This season sees the return of Kelly McCreary, as well as Ellen Pompeo, who plays Dr. Meredith Grey (Dr. Maggie Pierce). Chris Carmack (Dr. Atticus “Link” Lincoln), Jake Borelli (Dr. Levi Schmitt), Wilson (Dr. Miranda Bailey), Camilla Luddington (Dr. Jo Wilson), and Caterina Scorsone. Jake Borelli as Dr. Levi Schmitt. Wilson as Dr. Miranda Bailey. James Pickens Jr. as Dr. Richard Webber (Dr. Amelia Shepherd).

In addition, Scott Speedman is back in his role as Dr. Nick Marsh.

The roles of the five new interns, which will be played by Adelaide Kane, Midori Francis, Alexis Floyd, Harry Shum Jr., and Niko Terho, will be introduced to the audience.

The next season will begin its premiere exactly six months after the conclusion of the last one. Meredith has not seen Nick since she rejected his offer to go to Minnesota. This is the first time they had crossed paths.

Patients who were injured in a recent tornado are being treated by the newly hired medical professionals.

Dr. Miranda Bailey, who left her previous position at the conclusion of the previous season, returns for a visit to the new interns.

ABC airs new episodes of Grey’s Anatomy on Thursdays at 9 p.m. Eastern Time.
