Police law & Order Crew Member Fatally Shot on Brooklyn Set

The New York Police Department confirmed to CBS News on Tuesday that a crew member was shot and killed on a “Law & Order” set in Brooklyn.

‘Law & Order: Organized Crime,’ a spin-off of the classic ‘Law & Order’ series featuring actor Christopher Meloni, employed the 31-year-old guy as part of the parking detail. He was shot dead in the head and neck at approximately 5:15 a.m. while working on North Henry Street near Norman Avenue in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, according to authorities.

When EMS came, they brought the victim to Woodhull Medical Center, where doctors declared him dead. The identify of the man hasn’t yet been made public by officials.

NBC and Universal Television stated they were “terribly grieved and disturbed” to learn of the man’s passing in a statement that was provided to CBS News.

The statement also stated that “we are cooperating with local law enforcement as they carry out their investigation.” We urge that you respect their right to privacy at this difficult time since we are thinking about his family and friends.

Police have not found a motive, and no one has been arrested.
