Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the forthcoming MCU film starring Benedict Cumberbatch, will be a melting pot for various other Marvel realms we never thought to combine. In addition, there will be a slew of appearances in this film that will be a treat for Marvel fans everywhere. Magneto’s appearance is one of the most eagerly awaited surprise appearances.
Doctor Strange 2 promises to be one of the most epic crossovers in all of the multiverses to date. Loki introduced the concept of a multiverse to the MCU, and it was immediately incorporated into another series. Is it possible that…? Spider-Man: No Way Home, on the other hand, is an excellent example of a multiversal crossover. Wanda Maximoff from WandaVision has helped bring the multiverse’s craziness to the threshold of yet another film.
Is Magneto going to be in Doctor Strange 2?
We’ve caught a peek at the movie’s characters in the last teaser. One thing we know for sure from this video (which featured narration by Sir Patrick Stewart, the actor who portrays Professor X) is that the X-Men will be joining the MCU. For the X-Men team, Magneto is a must. Magneto’s appearance in the Multiverse of Madness will be an excellent fit for Doctor Strange. Why? It’s not just because of his link to Professor X but also because of Wanda Maximoff’s relationship with him. Several teasers and the most recent trailer suggest that Wanda will play a significant part in Doctor Strange 2. WandaVision has shown us that Wanda has taken a dark turn in her character development. She is now on the verge of becoming the Scarlet Witch in its entirety, having suffered the loss of both her family and the life she built for them. Magneto’s fury and hatred, motivated by his sad loss, might be seen as a reflection of her miserable existence.
In addition, Wanda and Pietro Maximoff, Magneto’s children, are descended from him. However, we have shown in the X-Men movies that Magneto is Peter Maximoff’s father, even if he was unaware. Seeing Ian McKellen and Wanda Maximoff interact onscreen as a father and daughter will be an exciting treat for fans of the actor.
It’s important to remember that Professor X & Magneto have an electric chemistry that we can’t ignore. Having a tight connection between these two might be a significant aspect of the film. Michael Fassbender & Ian McKellen had already portrayed Magneto in the X-Men films, respectively, as the youthful and old versions of the character. Despite the presence of time travel in the movie, viewers were unable to see the meeting between the two stars. We finally get to watch both actors in action because Dr. Strange is a perfectionist when crossing realities.
What kind of anti-hero are we going to witness in the movie? How do you know this person is a father? Wanda’s sister, brother, or a good friend? Is it a friend or a foe? Professor X’s. Will we not be able to see Ian McKellen? In the end, we don’t know. So, our only option is to wait for the theatrical release of Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange: The Definitive Collection. If all goes according to plan, Doctor Strange 2 will premiere in cinemas on May 6.
