Middleburg police are investigating a fatal shooting in Clay County.
MIDDLEBURG, FLORIDA (CSU) – A guy was shot and killed after a dispute in Middleburg on Friday.
A guy went to the 4200 block of Angola Street to confront a group of persons gathering in the vicinity, according to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.
During the altercation, the guy brandished a pistol at the assembled crowd. According to the sheriff’s office, one of those there also took out a revolver and shot the guy.
According to the CCSO, persons on the site attempted to provide first aid until first responders arrived. However, by the time deputies arrived, the victim had died from his injuries.
The others who were involved stayed on the site and helped the police with their investigation. There have been no arrests.
