Five People Shot in Breakout of Shootings Across the CSRA

AUGUSTA, Ga. (CSU World Record) – Many people have been hurt and one person has died as a result of a recent rash of gunshots, many of which occurred right here in Augusta.

The most recent shooting occurred on Sunday evening in Augusta.

The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting complaint in the 1900 block of Fenwick Street at 5:57 p.m. Deputies arrived on the site and discovered two guys who had been shot. The victims were taken to AUMC for treatment. According to deputies, one of the victim’s injuries is life-threatening.

Early Sunday morning, deputies went to a shooting incident at Gordon Highway and Wilkinson Road.

Deputies said they discovered two persons shot in the automobile at 1 a.m. Both of them were taken to AUMC. One of the victims’ injuries, according to deputies, is significant but not life-threatening.

A third individual was in the vehicle, but he or she was unharmed.

Several family members also confirmed the identity of the 8-year-old child who was shot and died in a drive-by shooting in Augusta on Saturday.
