Deaths of Illinois Man, 2 Sons Deemed a Triple Homicide

The Deaths of an Illinois man and his two sons are being investigated as a triple homicide.

The alleged gunshot murders of a father and his two young boys are being investigated as a triple homicide by police in northern Illinois, who are also looking for the dad’s missing car.

Andrew Hintt, 31, and his two boys, ages 5 and 7, were discovered dead at their house in Belvidere on Sunday night, according to authorities. Autopsies are in the works.

According to authorities, four-shot casings were discovered at the location, but no firearms were recovered.

After the boys’ mother phoned the landlord to report she had not heard from anybody in the household, the dead were discovered. According to authorities, the landlord dialed 911, and cops arrived.

The killings are being investigated as a triple murder, according to Belvidere Police Chief Shane Woody.

“Whoever committed this heinous murder is genuinely nasty,” he stated during a press conference on Monday. Belvidere is roughly 70 miles northwest of Chicago (110 kilometers).

Hintt’s car, a silver or gray 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk with Illinois registration CT92923, is being sought by police.
