LUBBOCK, Texas (CSU) — Lubbock Police said in a press release that the Metropolitan Special Crimes Unit sought the public’s help Monday in identifying the suspect car in the fatal shooting of a 4-year-old in East Lubbock. The car was photographed and provided by the police.
Police had been called to the 700 section of East Ursuline Street shortly before 9:00 p.m. on Friday after receiving a report of shots fired.
Officers arrived on the site to learn that the victim, 4-year-old Cornelius Carrington, had been transferred in a private car to University Medical Center, where he was later declared dead, according to police.
The rounds were fired during a drive-by shooting, according to police.
According to authorities, Crime Line had offered a $5,000 reward, and now Kerby and Wade, P.C. has provided an extra $2,500.
