1 Dead, Another Hurt in Lincoln Park Shooting

SAN DIEGO (CSU) — According to local officials and news reports, a shooting in the Lincoln Park area on Tuesday resulted in the death of one person and the injuring of another.

One of the victims was awake when he was located and taken to the hospital, according to Officer John Buttle of the San Diego Police Department. Buttle claims that paramedics performed CPR on the second victim. According to the Union-Tribune, the later victim was located on 50th Street with a gunshot wound to his back and died as a result.

At the time, there was no additional information available.

A gunshot was reported near Euclid Avenue at 5000 Imperial Avenue at 5:22 p.m.

The suspect was described as a guy in his twenties wearing a hoodie and driving a silver Honda Accord away from the scene.
