Multiple Fights at Knott’s Berry Farm Force Park to Close Early

At Knott’s Berry Farm, many fights broke out on Saturday night, forcing the park to close three hours early and causing guests to evacuate.

Paramedics evaluated two injured persons and transported them to the hospital, according to Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Sean Doran. A third person was evaluated by paramedics but chose not to get treatment.

As teens fought outside the park on a street, several of the fights were recorded on camera and shared on social media. Panicked guests fled for cover as the violence broke out.

According to Buena Park police, there were multiple 911 callers reporting suspected shooting, but officers on the site found no evidence of gunfire.

The park issued a statement saying that its primary concern is always the safety of its visitors and employees. “Due to disorderly conduct and fights involving several youths, the decision was taken to close the park three hours early. We do not want any visitor to Knott’s Berry Farm to have this experience since it is inconsistent with the ideals of our park.

On Sunday morning, the park reopened.

Social media posts claim that when the brawl started, many fled the area out of fear after hearing reports of a shooting.

On Facebook, one parkgoer said, “There was a brawl as everyone was pressed to get out.” “Everyone started yelling out of nowhere, followed by running. Through the staff-only entrance, we were permitted out.

A young man was seen on a smartphone camera hitting another adolescent as he lay on the ground with his arms outstretched to shield his head. Another video taken using a smartphone showed a security agent lying on the ground.

One lady reported seeing one person “on the floor bleeding” and several individuals “beating security,” according to KABC-TV.

She stated, “It was like a riot.”
