Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck Get Marriage License in Las Vegas

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck Get Marriage License in Las Vegas (1)

On July 16, the Justice League actor, 49, and Marry Me actress, 52, got married in Las Vegas. E! News was able to view the court document in which J.Lo requests that her name be officially changed to “Jennifer Affleck.” There hasn’t yet been a marriage certificate submitted.

The couple’s representatives were contacted by CSU for comment, but no response was received.

Ben and Jen first made headlines in April when they announced their second engagement via Jennifer Lopez’s “On The JLo” newsletter. An emotional Jennifer Lopez can be seen grinning while proudly displaying the stunning, green engagement ring on her finger in a video clip that was shared with her admirers. Afterward, she says, “You’re perfect.”

A source close to J.Lo told E! News after their engagement that she was “ecstatic” and “can’t wait to be his wife,” and that she “believes it’s pure love and was meant to be.”

On April 12, Jennifer Lopez  wrote about the proposal in her newsletter, revealing that Ben proposed to her while she was enjoying a soothing bubble bath.

She recalled, “I was completely caught off guard and simply gazed into his eyes smiling and sobbing at the same time trying to get my mind around the reality that this was happening all over again after 20 years.” “I was essentially rendered speechless when he said, “Is that a yes?” Yes, of course, it is a yes, I said.”

Jennifer’s message said, “Just a calm Saturday night at home, two individuals agreeing to always be there for one other.” “Two very fortunate individuals who were given a second opportunity at real love.”

The wedding of Ben and Jennifer has taken a while to happen. Fans may remember that the actors, who originally became friends while working on the 2003 movie Gigli, came very close to being married back in the early 2000s after becoming engaged in November 2002. But less than two years later, in January 2004, Ben and Jen decided to break off their engagement.

Ben later wed the actress Jennifer Garner in 2005 after they divorced. After divorcing in 2015, the couple had three children together: son Samuel, 10, daughters Violet, 16, and Seraphina, 13. In a similar vein, Jennifer later welcomed twins Emme and Max, now 14 years old, with her ex-husband Marc Anthony, whom she divorced in 2014.

Even though Ben and Jen remained friendly over the years, relationship rumours wouldn’t start up between the Argo director and “Let’s Get Loud” singer again for almost 20 years, in April 2021, when Jennifer Lopez and Ben were spotted together on vacation in Montana following Jennifer’s breakup with Alex Rodriguez.

Since then, the pair has been inseparable (despite having demanding work schedules). They frequently go on date evenings filled with PDA, stroll the red carpet, or take off on a romantic trip. And, when they’re not sweeping the globe, the laid-back couple is usually seen spending time with their extended family.

They have spent a lot of time getting to know each other and allowing the kids to have fun and bond, an insider said to E! in August, adding that Jennifer “took great care to get to know Ben’s kids and welcome them into her house and her life.” That includes celebrating holidays like Halloween and Thanksgiving together from the previous year.

Although the couple initially had no urgency to be married, when something is meant to be, why wait? According to a source who spoke to E! in July, “They are both very confident in their relationship, and Ben worships her.” “Everyone around them thinks they are a wonderful match, and it’s genuinely meant to be,” the speaker said.
