CSU/After a gunshot and a vehicle accident on Azalea Avenue, a guy is battling for his life in the hospital. Henrico Police were sent to the 300 block of Azalea Avenue about 7:15 p.m. on Sunday after receiving reports of a vehicle accident and a gunshot.
A car smashed into a house near the Azalea Food Market and Deli, killing one person. No one was hurt inside the house, but the motorist was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. At this moment, it is unknown what caused the man’s injuries.
The area around the convenience store has been declared a crime scene by police.
