Man Arrested in December Double Homicide in Indianapolis (1)

INDIANAPOLIS — A 19-year-old man was detained by IMPD murder investigators last month on suspicion of being involved in a double killing on Indianapolis’ north side.

Camran Perry, 19, was arrested on Monday for his involvement in the deadly shootings of Andrew Jones, 21, and Blake Coffman, 20, on December 1, 2021.

Around 7 p.m., the incident occurred in the 8800 block of Westfield Way, just southwest of East 91st Street and Westfield Boulevard.

Jones and Coffman were located with apparent gunshot wounds by officers responding to a report of a person shot. Both men were taken to hospitals, but they succumbed to their injuries shortly thereafter.

The gunfire was one of at least five in Indianapolis that night, according to authorities. The four additional gunshots resulted in the injuries of a total of five individuals.

Perry was recognized as a suspect by detectives investigating the incident. Authorities have not released any more information regarding the events leading up to the shooting at this time.
