In a shooting in the Seventh Ward, one person was killed, and another was badly wounded.
NEW ORLEANS (CSU) — A double gunshot that left one person dead and another in critical condition prompted police to investigate.
NOPD officers were sent to a site in the 2000 block of North Broad Avenue just before 8:30 p.m. on Friday.
Officers arrived to find a man victim who had been shot at the junction of Duels Street and North Broad Avenue. At the spot, he was declared dead.
A short time later, authorities found another male victim who had been shot a few streets away at the junction of Bruxelles Street and North Broad Avenue. The person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, according to police.
In this case, investigators have yet to identify a culprit or a motive.
