2 Dead, 3 Injured in Overnight Shootings Across Indianapolis

Overnight gunshots in Indianapolis claimed the lives of two people and wounded three more. In gunfire around the city late Friday and early Saturday, two individuals were murdered, and numerous more were wounded.

According to an IMPD press release, police were summoned to the 1300 block of North Bolton Avenue, near the junction of 16th Street and Arlington Avenue on the city’s east side, just before 11 p.m. Friday, when they discovered a man shot inside a car.

Officers went to a complaint in the 3100 block of Bonham Drive, near the junction of 30th Street and Lafayette Road on the city’s northwest side, just before 1 a.m. Saturday, when they discovered another child with apparent gunshot wounds. The age of the youngster was not disclosed by the police.

Both of the victims were declared dead on the spot.

Shootings occurred late Friday evening, injuring three more people.

Just before 9:30 p.m. Friday, officers found two people shot between East 21st Street and North Ritter Avenue. Those sent to the hospital late Friday night were determined to be in serious condition. Before midnight, a person with suspected gunshot wounds arrived at a downtown hospital. The cops did not provide them with any information on their health.
