Fbi Offers $15k Reward in Nw Portland Homicide

In a killing in Northwest Portland, the FBI is offering a $15,000 reward.

(CSU) PORTLAND, Ore. – A large reward is being offered by the FBI in connection with a gunshot that killed a 37-year-old man in Northwest Portland more than a year ago.

Anthony McNaughton was shot between the NW Broadway and NW Glisan Street junction on November 27, 2020.

Officers responded to gunfire complaints in the vicinity about 2:30 p.m., according to the Portland Police Bureau. According to PPB, officers noticed McNaughton and immediately transported him to the hospital. Later in the hospital, he died from his injuries.

McNaughton was inside or near a tent at the time, according to authorities.

The FBI in Oregon has offered a reward of up to $15,000 for info leading to an arrest and conviction in the shooting, in collaboration with the Metro Safe Streets Task Force.

“We recognize that the number of killings in our common neighborhood is staggering,” Ramsey added. “We understand that each case includes a victim, a bereaved family, and the loss of a future opportunity. Each of these victims and their families is entitled to answers, and the community as a whole is entitled to a break from the cycle of violence. However, we won’t be able to achieve it by ourselves.

This is on top of the $2,500 prize provided by Crime Stoppers of Oregon.

Anyone with info is encouraged to contact the Portland Police Bureau at [email protected] or the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI or tips.fbi.gov.
