Woman Shot And Killed After Confrontation Over Dead Dog, Another Man Wounded

After a disagreement over a dog that had been shot dead, a lady was shot and murdered Sunday night in Escambia County, and another man was injured.

A man and woman were working on their automobile outside their Brownsville home in the 3700 block of Lloyd Street, according to the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office. As they proceeded down the road, their dog bolted and began barking at three guys, prompting one of the men to shoot and kill the dog.

According to authorities, the guy and lady got into a car and drove about seeking the three males. After they discovered them, they got into an altercation, and one of the guys opened fire on the automobile. Both the guy and lady were hit, and about 11:25 p.m., they drove to the 1100 block of T Street to contact 911.

The lady was declared dead at the hospital after both victims were transferred there.
