(CSU) – LOUISVILLE, Ky. – After a gunshot in the Shawnee area on Tuesday night, one guy was taken to the hospital. Calls came in soon before 8 p.m. to the Shorty’s Food Mart in the 3500 block of West Broadway on allegations of shots fired, according to Louisville Metro Police spokesman Aaron Ellis. Officers discovered an adult guy who had been shot at the scene when they arrived.
According to the investigation, the victim was sitting in his car when two unknown males approached him and opened fire. The two males then departed the area on foot, according to Ellis.
The guy who was shot then entered the business and requested assistance. He was then taken to the hospital, awake and aware. The two suspects haven’t been identified yet.
