Police Investigate Homicide Late Friday in South KC

KANSAS CITY, Mo. —

Kansas City police are investigating a murder on Friday night. The murderer was in the 7900 block of East 88th Place. This evening, at 10:30 p.m., police were sent to a shooting near Manchester Avenue.

When they got there, they found two people with gunshot wounds. One was an adult female who couldn’t breathe, and the other person died right away.

The other victim of the shooting was taken to a hospital with a bad but not life-threatening wound. The police are looking for someone. They are not in jail, but they are still being looked for.

Detectives and people who work at crime scenes have come to the scene. They are looking for witnesses and processing the scene. If you know information, please call the Homicide Unit at 234-5043.
