TOLEDO, Ohio — Last night, someone was shot and killed in north Toledo. Toledo police went to a house on the 3500 block of North Erie Street. Inside, they found Dameon Bates, who had been shot.
He was pronounced dead after the emergency staff came to his home.
According to a news release from the Toledo Police Department, Mychal Smith was arrested and charged with reckless homicide. Police say that he and Bates were friends.
