Odu Football’s Offensive Coordinator Dave Patenaude Resigns 3 Weeks Before Season Opener

Norfolk, Virginia (CSU) Before the team’s first game of the season, ODU football’s offensive coordinator Dave Patenaude announced his resignation.

Old Dominion University released a statement on Friday in which head coach Ricky Rahne disclosed Peatenaude’s departure. The season opener for the monarchs against Virginia Tech is in only three weeks.

The ODU Director of Athletics said, “We appreciate Coach Patenaude’s contributions to our football programme throughout his stay at ODU. We send him our warmest wishes for the future.

Patenaude was recruited by Rhane in January. Rahne claims that the two had known one another for sixteen years.

Patenaude, a 30-year coaching veteran, spent the previous three seasons as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Georgia Tech before beginning his brief career as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Old Dominion.

Patenaude served as Temple’s offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach from 2017 to 2018 before joining Georgia Tech.
