Family Begs for Answers After 29-Year-Old Man Shot and Killed in Orlo Vista

ORLOVISTA, FLORIDA (CSU) –

A family is seeking answers after a father of four was shot and murdered outside a barbershop in Orlo Vista on Saturday night. Deputies from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office spent most of Saturday evening examining the crime scene at Old Winter Garden Road and Powers Drive.

When deputies arrived, they discovered a 29-year-old guy laying on the ground with at least one gunshot wound. He was rushed to the hospital and declared dead.

According to authorities, the early investigation indicates that the victim was shot in a neighbouring area. The shooting victim’s identification has yet to be revealed by the sheriff’s office.

“I want you to try to figure out what occurred,” Lillian Brewer stated. Justin Cox, 29, is Brewer’s grandson, according to her.

He was shot and died, she claims.

“He loved me so much and he was fixing his life up, and that’s what I don’t understand,” Brewer said. Neighbors and family members said they hurried over to the victim, who was laying on the ground in a parking lot only feet from from a barbershop, when they heard gunshots.

“My grandchild, to be precise. He is, indeed. He had been, “Brewer confirmed the news.

Brewer claims that her grandson was expecting a fifth child.

“He adored his children. More than everything else in the world, he adored his children “Brewer said.

Above all, the family is looking for answers.

“Try to figure out what occurred, and figure out who did it because that’s not right,” Brewer added.

The police investigation into the fatal shooting is still ongoing.
