Apex Legends Season 12 Launch Trailer Released

apex season 12 release date

Apex Legends’ Season 12, “Defiance,” will begin on February 8th, and as usual, the new season will bring a slew of changes. Respawn Entertainment has officially published the launch video for the next new season of Apex Legends, and it provides the greatest sense yet of what will happen to the floating map of Olympus in Season 12.

The new season introduces Mad Maggie as the newest Legend, doomed to death by fighting in the Apex Games. During all of the mayhem, it seems that another entity is taking advantage of Mad Maggie’s presence in the fight royale to do… something. And, as the launch trailer suggests, it includes the purposeful or unintentional crash of Olympus. You can see the premiere trailer for Apex Legends’ Season 12, “Defiance,” below:

The debut trailer also hints at Mad Maggie’s true talents in the renowned video game. Since the developer has been sharing information about the new season piecemeal since its first release, we don’t yet know what she does. There are also the previously announced and referred to alterations to the Olympus map, as well as a new limited-time mode dubbed Control.

As previously reported, Apex Legends Season 12, or “Defiance,” is set to release on February 8th and will include Mad Maggie as the game’s newest Legend. The most current Apex Legends season, “Escape,” is now available in the game. Among the various changes brought forth by the season was the introduction of a new Legend, Ash. Apex Legends is now available on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. As with Season 9, the popular free-to-play video game seems to have forsaken the numbering in favor of a name alone, with “Defiance” officially being Season 12.
