Police Carry out Early Morning Raid on Farm in Nottinghamshire

Nottinghamshire police conduct an early morning raid on a farm.

Police descended on a farm in Nottinghamshire as part of a series of raids carried out as part of a specialized operation.

Officers arrived at the farm in East Bridgford at 8 a.m. on Thursday, January 27, with others on standby at three other locations in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.

They discovered vehicles, car parts, trailers, and other items that are all suspected to be stolen, as well as an area of the farm that may have been used to sell cannabis.

It’s all part of Operation Sahara, which began in October 2020 and aims to combat rural crime in the county, which costs farmers and landowners a lot of money.

Sergeant James Ross, the operation’s commander, told Nottinghamshire Live: “On our borders with Leicestershire and Derbyshire, we were heavily targeted.

“High-value items were being stolen, and my team was tasked with preventing this.
