According to a press release from the Louisville Metro Police Department, a male was discovered shot in the California area. LMPD was called to the 1500 block of Gallagher soon after 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 23 for a report of a gunshot.
Further inquiry revealed that an adult man has shot around 15th and Oak streets, only a few blocks from Gallagher Street. The victim ran to 15th and Gallagher streets after being shot, according to police.
He was then sent to UofL Hospital in stable condition. Detectives from the LMPD are in charge of the investigation, which is still continuing.
