(CSU) – HELENA, Ala. After responding to an emergency call, police discovered two persons dead inside a Helena residence on Wednesday afternoon.
According to Helena Police Chief Brad Flynn, officers responded in the 100 block of Piney Woods Drive at 3:22 p.m. When they arrived, they found out that one individual had died. They discovered the body of a second person after searching the house. A man and a lady who resided in the house were the casualties.
According to Flynn, they believe in foul play and are looking for a person of interest. In order to put together the inquiry, police also interrogated family members and neighbors.
The person of interest has been identified as Jon Peyton Scott III, and he was previously known to be a resident of the area.
According to the police, there is no active danger to the neighborhood.
