COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — As authorities seek to apprehend a barricaded individual, the Aurora Police Department (APD) has evacuated an apartment complex on East Applewood Drive.
According to police, the incident is taking place in the 24000 block of East Applewood Drive in east Aurora. The suspect was sought on suspicion of first-degree assault and wrongful detention in the context of domestic violence.
According to authorities, all inhabitants of Building 18 have been evacuated.
According to Aurora Police Department, the South Aurora Parkway was blocked between Orchard Road and East Applewood Drive.
According to APD, SWAT was communicating with the subject and seeking to resolve the situation amicably.
