Janesville Woman Injured in Armed Robbery

JANESVILLE—

During a robbery that occurred in Janesville on Wednesday night, a lady was punched in the head several times.

At 9:57 p.m., Janesville police responded to a complaint of an armed robbery in the 4000 block of Tisbury Drive.

When the female victim was hit in the head many times, she had just come home and was walking into her garage. After then, the assailants took her car. With minor injuries, the sufferer was sent to a nearby hospital. She was remained in the hospital on Thursday, according to a statement from the Janesville Police Department.

The victim was allegedly followed home from Milton Avenue’s Walgreens. Another car followed the victim before the crime, according to the investigation.

Officers were able to offer the Rockford Police Department information on the likely position of the victim’s car, which was later found. The car has been taken into jail by Janesville Police Officers, who are now collecting evidence.
