NASHVILLE, Tenn. (CSU) — A man in connection to a shooting where a man was killed in North Nashville was captured in Clarksville.
Metro police and the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrested Jashawn Simmons on Monday night for shooting and killing a 52-year-old man named Marty Adkins.
Investigators believe that on October 3, a man shot another man who was walking home from a party. The victim was found dead the next day in the street of a neighborhood. Some people living nearby had heard gunshots earlier that night too.
Simmons was taken to the Metro Jail and charged with first-degree murder.
