Naveen Andrews Joins 'The Cleaning Lady' Season 2 Cast

The Cleaning Lady on Fox has welcomed Emmy nominee Naveen Andrews (The Dropout, Lost) as a series regular to its Season 2 ensemble. On Monday, September 19 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT, the show returns with brand-new episodes.

Andrews will play Robert Kamdar, an outgoing and endearing ex-boyfriend of Nadia (Eva De Dominici) who wants to put distance between her and Arman (Adan Canto). Arman is on the verge of losing everything and must struggle to maintain his world and his dignity while resolving to restore his life despite the most difficult conditions.

When Season 2 begins, Thony (Élodie Yung) is scrambling to find her son Luca (Sebastien & Valentino LeSalle) after his father, Marco, abducted him (Ivan Shaw). Thony realises that she is running out of time and enlists the assistance of FBI Agent Garrett Miller (Oliver Hudson) in a last-ditch effort to save the child before Marco leaves the country. The subject of “how far a mother will go to defend her child” is furthered when Chris (Sean Lew) is involved in an incident that leads Fiona (Martha Millan) to do all measures necessary to safeguard her son.

Thony will look for ways to assist her impoverished community while drawing on her experience as a doctor. She, however, repeatedly crosses the line into Las Vegas’ seedy underworld when she intertwines her business endeavours with Arman.

Faith Bryant plays Jaz in the show as well. Chelsea Frei and Liza Weil are also appearing this season as Season 2 guest stars.

Fox’s most watched drama premiere in two years, The Cleaning Lady, was entirely driven by online viewers. The inaugural episode of the new show received 12.9 million multiplatform viewers, according to the network, making it its No. 1 multiplatform audience for a new show last season.

The programme is based on the Argentine television programme La Chica Que Limpia, which Miranda Kwok created and which was made by Fox Entertainment and Warner Bros. Television. For Season 2, co-showrunners Melissa Carter and executive producers Kwok will work together. Additionally, executive producing are Shay Mitchell, David Dean Portelli, Rose Marie Vega, and Paola Suarez.

Andrews most recently appeared with Amanda Seyfried in the Hulu limited series The Dropout. He also starred in the Netflix original film Sense8, which the Wachowskis wrote, directed, and produced. Additionally, he played Hasnat Khan alongside Naomi Watts in the movie Diana.

Andrews is likely best recognised for his prominent parts in the successful TV show “Lost,” for which he received an Emmy nomination, and the 1996 movie The English Patient.
