An investigation is underway after a fatal shooting Tuesday night in Birmingham. The shooting happened just before 7:30 p.m. at 2418 Green Springs Highway. Lt. Rod Mauldin said the victim was taken to a hospital and later pronounced dead
Few details were immediately available. Mauldin said no arrests have been made. The victim is Birmingham’s 94th homicide this year. Of those, six have been ruled justifiable.
In all of Jefferson County, there have been 128, including the 94 in Birmingham.
