A Man in Charleston Enters a Guilty Plea to A Federal Gun Crime (1)

W.VaCHARLESTON .’s (CSU) – In a federal firearms crime that occurred in Charleston more than two years ago, a man entered a guilty plea.

Scott Snook, 47, a felon in possession of a firearm from Mechanicsburg, Ohio, entered a guilty plea.

Snook admitted owning the weapon in Charleston on August 3, 2020, to court filings from the US Department of Justice.

The Kanawha County Circuit Court found Snook guilty of a felony for possessing heroin with the intent to deliver on November 14, 2017, according to the investigators.

Snook is scheduled for sentencing on November 17, 2022, and could spend up to 10 years behind bars, have three years of post-release supervision, and pay a fine of $250,000.
