later this fall, and in anticipation, Adult Swim has released a sinister new teaser video for “Wormageddon.” Since it was stated that the sixth season would be arriving later this year, fans have been excited to see more of it. However, there hasn’t been much revealed about what to actually expect from the upcoming episodes. It appears that Adult Swim is unexpectedly ratcheting up the promotional materials in anticipation of the new episodes now that the new season is definitely headed our way next month.
The sixth season of Rick and Morty won’t premiere until September, but Adult Swim has already released a sinister trailer and website for “Rick and Morty: Wormageddon.” The first teaser for this enigmatic new project teases a “secret” in the citadel that is still present after the events of the fifth season and that will be revealed later in August. Whether or not this will truly tie into the events of the upcoming season (or whether there will be some type of tie in event or game) is currently difficult to predict, but it’s definitely something to keep an eye on:
On Sunday, September 4th at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT, Adult Swim will air the season six premiere of Rick and Morty. Regarding what to anticipate from the upcoming season, Adult Swim has teased Season 6 as follows: “Season 6 of Rick and Morty has them back! Pick up where we left off, looking worse for wear and struggling. Will they be able to recover and go on new adventures? Or will they drown in a sea of faeces? No one knows! Piss! Family! Intrigue! Several dinosaurs! More booze! It’s time for another season of your favourite programme.”
The first five seasons of Rick and Morty are currently available for viewing on HBO Max and Hulu if you wanted to catch up with the show before the new season premieres (as it appears that it will pick up with the canon of the prior season). After that, if you still want to see more, there are a few special anime episodes that are only accessible on Adult Swim’s official YouTube account, and another anime is also in the works.
