Officer Charged with Dangerous Driving After Boy Seriously Hurt

After a collision in which a teenage boy had a “life-changing injury,” a Greater Manchester Police officer was charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving. According to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC), he was hit by a police car in December 2020.

On Friday, Sarah De Meulemeester, 25, who works at the Cheadle Heath police station, is scheduled to appear before the magistrates. The IOPC stated she will also be subject to a gross misconduct investigation.

The IOPC did not confirm the crash’s location or provide any other information about the occurrence. For a reply, the CSU has gotten in touch with GMP.
