Black Panther 2 Latest Update This Important Character Is Not Part of Wakanda Forever, Can You Guess Who

The next superhero blockbuster Black Panther: Wakanda Forever from Marvel Studios will not feature Oscar winner Daniel Kaluuya. Wakanda Forever, the much-awaited sequel to Ryan Coogler’s 2018 box office hit Black Panther, is scheduled for release on November 11.

According to Kaluuya, he was forced to leave the movie because of scheduling issues with Jordan Peele’s next film Nope, which is set for a July 22 release. The actor’s performance in Jordan Peele’s blockbuster horror movie Gets Out earned him a nomination for the Oscar for the best leading actor (2017).

In the movie Black Panther, Kaluuya portrayed W’Kabi, the Border Tribe’s chief of security and the best friend of T’Challa/Black Panther (the late Chadwick Boseman).

Black Panther 2 has had a rocky road after its lead actor Chadwick Boseman passed away from colon cancer in August 2020, according to the studio’s official announcement in the middle of 2019. Marvel opted not to replace T’Challa after the death of Boseman. In addition to paying tribute to Boseman’s legacy, the sequel will examine more characters from the Black Panther universe.

The COVID-19 epidemic made matters worse for the producers since numerous actors tested positive for the virus while on location. Wright was hurt during filming a stunt sequence in 2021, which caused more production delays.

Lupita Nyong’o, Letitia Wright, Gurira, Winston Duke, Martin Freeman, and Angela Bassett will all reprise their roles in Wakanda Forever.

With Dominique Thorne making her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut as Riri Williams/Ironheart and Michaela Coel and Tenoch Huerta appearing in unspecified roles, the sequel will also feature new cast members.
