High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, also known as HSMTMTS, has been a fan favorite ever since its first season came out. Fans of the show were left with a cliffhanger at the end of Season 2, and they wanted to know what came next. The second season of HSMTMTS picked up right where the first season left off. After the hit production of HSMTMTS at East High in Season 1, we find out if Nini takes up the offer to study at the Youth Hollywood stars Conservatory and how that will affect her relationship with Ricky. Also, the season comes after Miss Jenn’s Beauty and the Beast play in the spring. Season 2 has given us some clues that the show will be back for another season. But will HSMTMTS have a third season? We will learn a lot about HSMTMTS Season 3 from what we find out.
Is there really going to be a third season?
Yes. High School Musical: The Musical: The Series will have a third season. Disney+ has confirmed on Twitter that they have officially picked it up for a third season. The Disney+ Twitter page wrote, “Wildcats Season 3 is coming up, so buckle up.” So there’s no longer any doubt about when HSMTMTS Season 3 will come out since it’s been confirmed.
What will happen in Season 3, which is coming up?
At the end of HSMTMTS, East High pulled out of the Alan Menken Awards for High School Musical Theatre. In Season 3 of HSMTMTS, the fans’ favorite students from East High will go to the made-up Camp Shallow Lake for summer like Camp Rock.
We can expect that HSMTMTS’s love life will be different in Season 3. In Season 2, Ricky and Nini break up, Gina and E.J. start dating, Big Red and Ashlyn start dating, Kourtney and Howie start dating, and Carlos and Seb start dating.
In Season 3, it looks like Ricky and Nini will get back together. Nini is also expected to start working on the original music with Gina’s brother, Jamie. Since Nini is thinking about this, it’s also possible that she won’t go camping at Shallow Lake. E.J. and Gina, on the other hand, seem to have finally worked things out between them. We might also find that Mr. Mazarra turns down the new job and starts dating Miss Jenn.
What will Season 3’s music be like?
We don’t know much about the soundtracks yet. Even though HSMTMTS Season 3’s musical is Frozen, and we know that songs from Camp Rock and other High School Musical movies will be used, we could still expect a lot of bops. Maybe “Let It Go,” “This Is Me,” and “Fabulous” could all be on there. Like the first two seasons, there will likely be a number of original songs in this season as well.
When will the third season be out?
Season 3 of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series will only be available on the Disney+ app when it comes out on July 23, 2022. On May 21, 2022, the official HSMTMTS Instagram account posted a clip from Season 3 with the caption, “One word: CHILLS. @CorbinBleu is joining Season 3 of HSMTMTS, which starts streaming on #DisneyPlus on July 27!” In an interview with TIME, Olivia Rodrigo said that filming for Season 3 started in January 2022. Like the last two seasons, the episodes might come out once a week on Disney+.
