SWAT is a long show based on police procedurals from the United States. It’s an action-drama TV show that Aaron Rahsaan Thomas and Shawn Ryan made. A lot of Primetime Emmy Award nominations have been made for the show. It is prevalent among people who like to watch action-drama shows on TV. What’s the deal with the SWAT series?
SWAT, which stands for “Special Weapons and Tactics,” is about a police sergeant who is in charge of and gives orders to a highly trained task force that takes on and arrests the most dangerous and violent criminal gangs in Los Angeles.

Will there be another season of SWAT?
Shemar Moore, who plays the main character on the show, came out to say that the show has been officially given the go-ahead to come back for a sixth season.
Shemar used Instagram to clear up all the confusion that was going on in the minds of his audience. He told his 4 million Instagram followers that SWAT Season 6 would be “kicking-ass” and that it would be coming out soon. He typed:
“Aaaayyeeeee!!!! Homies, Fans, and Baby Girls!!!! You first heard it here!!!” @swatcbs has been picked up for a sixth season! You’re in for another year of Kicking Ass… ROLL SHOTS, BABY.”
Also, CBS announced the sixth season on April 8, 2022.
SWAT’s 100th episode, “The Fugitive,” was a big deal. In the episode, a local news station showed body cam footage that probably showed Hondo shooting two police officers.
Date when Season 6 will come out
The first episode of season 5 of SWAT aired in October 2021, and the show has been on almost every week since then, with short breaks in December and January. The end of the season’s climax was technically very explosive.
When the script for Season 5 was written, there was no exact information about Season 6. But the sixth season will follow the same pattern as the other five and will be shown on October 7, 2022. The sixth season will be the second time that the show will air on Fridays instead of Sundays and at 8:00 PM instead of 10:00 PM.

For Season 6 of SWAT, everyone from the old cast would be back except Lina Esco. So we need to be sure that Lina Esco’s time on the show is over. Other than Lina Esco, the following actors will be back for Season 6 of SWAT:

But we’re very sad that Lina Esco won’t be back for Season 6 of SWAT. She played the part of Christine “Chris” Alonso, the sniper on the team. Since 2019, she has been a part of the main cast. She announced that she was leaving the show on social media by writing:
“It was one of the hardest choices I’ve ever had to make.”
So, it’s clear that Lina Esco is leaving the show and won’t be back to play her part. So, she’ll be missed.
What to expect from Season 6
The last episode of Season 5 was scary, dramatic, and full of action. The episode was called “Farewell,” and at the end of Season 5, a number of things happened. So we think that SWAT Season 6 will have a lot more drama.
