3 killed, at least 6 injured in multi-car crash in Winnetka

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, three persons were murdered, and at least six people were injured in a multi-car collision in Winnetka on Sunday evening.

In the 19700 block of Vanowen Street, around 9 p.m., LAFD firefighters responded to a three-car accident.

LAFD reports that three people perished as a result of the accident. In addition, six other people were hurt, but they are all doing well. However, the Los Angeles Police Department said seven persons had been injured.

Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) has confirmed that three males were killed in the crash, two of whom were in their 30s, and one was in his mid-twenties. Their identities are being kept under wraps for the time being.

The accident was seen on a homeowner’s security camera. An incoming vehicle was hit by a car at a high-speed rate.

Police Officer Andrew Neiman told Eyewitness News that a dark-colored Ford Explorer was speeding east on Vanowen when it hit a dip in the road at Corbin Avenue, and the driver lost control.

“The speed restriction is 35 mph. A Toyota Tacoma carrying four people was struck head-on by an Explorer that had lost control in the westbound lanes of traffic. “It was Neiman’s opinion. “That triggered the Ford Explorer to begin to roll. After a collision with an Audi, it came to a stop.”

All four individuals in the Ford Explorer were ejected, three of whom were fatally injured. “The lone individual wearing a seatbelt was the only one to live,” Neiman added.

There were no fatalities among the four people in the truck, but they were sent to the hospital with minor injuries. According to Neiman, a pregnant woman with her husband was sent to the hospital as a precaution.
