Tokyo Revengers is a Japanese manga series that began in 2017 and is written and illustrated by Ken Wakui. On the 28th volume of the manga, as of this writing. The developers of Tokyo Revengers finally decided to make an anime adaptation of the manga after the series’ enormous popularity. A new anime television series was announced in June 2020; it premiered in April of the following year. Season 2 of Tokyo Revengers were ordered just three months after the conclusion of the first. Finally, the second season’s official trailer has been released.

Hanagaki Takemichi, a middle-aged Japanese man, is the protagonist of Tokyo Revengers. Hanagaki had a wonderful life 12 years ago, with many friends and a partner. He is currently a nobody, and his wasted existence drives him to attempt suicide. However, a sad event drastically alters his life path.

In preparation for the show’s comeback next year, Tokyo Revengers has released its first promo, revealing the first new cast members, to mark the occasion! Even though Ken Wakui’s original manga series was already well-known, its first anime adaptation and live-action feature film went on to great success. Nakamichi Hanagaki and the Tokyo Manji Gang will be back during the action in the second season, following the first season’s gruesome finale.

After the first season’s dramatic conclusion, a new story arc will kick off the second wave of episodes. For people who aren’t familiar with anime, it’s hard to see how it can go on. Wakui’s original manga series, Tokyo Revengers, has confirmed its return in the Winter 2023 animation schedule with the “Christmas Showdown” arc of Tokyo Revengers and released the first trailer for this new arc:

New characters, such as Junya Enoki (Yuji Itadori in Jujutsu Kaisen), Natsuki Hanae (Tanjiro Kamado in Demon Slayer), and Tasuku Hatanaka (Hakkai Shiba in My Hero Academia), will be appearing in the Tokyo Revengers anime during the Christmas Showdown arc. Following last year’s issue involving Tatsuhiro Suzuki, Masayo Fukunushi will be taking over as Draken’s voice in Season 2 as Suzuki is currently on a leave of absence. Future Draken episodes will feature Fukunushi as Draken’s new voice.

Before the new season of Tokyo Revengers premieres, you may catch up on the series with Crunchyroll. The series is referred to as such by its creators. “As a freelancer, Takemichi Hanagaki is currently in misery. After discovering that the vicious Tokyo Manji gang had murdered his lone sweetheart from middle school, he is devastated. He’s standing on the station platform the day after hearing about her death when he’s shoved onto the rails by many people. When he opens his eyes again, he finds himself 12 years in the past after closing his eyes and believing he will die. Now that he’s back in the life he loved, Takemichi resolves to exact revenge on the life he’d been running from by saving his lover and transforming himself.”

Confirmed Release Date for Season 2 of Tokyo Revengers

Tokyo Revengers’ official Twitter and website recently posted a release date for season two. In January 2023, the Christmas Showdown Arc will be available for purchase. When binge-watching a TV show’s first season, this is the best time to do it! The second season’s teaser reveals that all of the show’s central characters will return. Toshio Mitsuya and Manjiro Sano are two of the characters featured in the trailer, along with Takemichi Hanagaki. The new trailer is here for your viewing pleasure.

A new key image has been released to go along with the trailer. Nakamichi Hanagaki, Manjiro Sano, and several other characters can be found near the stairwell. There is no information about the cast or crew members. It has been revealed that Tokyo Revengers season 2 will be animated by Liden Films. MBS, TV Tokyo, AT-X, and other Japanese networks will air the Christmas Showdown Arc.
