Chicago Crime 4 Wounded in South Lawndale Shooting

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS (CSU) – On Tuesday night, four individuals were hurt in a shooting in Lawndale, which is on the West Side. According to Chicago police, the victims were standing on a sidewalk in the 1200 block of South Lawndale Avenue when they were shot.

Officials said a 43-year-old lady with a gunshot wound to the chest was sent to Saint Anthony’s Hospital in severe condition.

After being shot in the face, a 30-year-old woman was sent to Mount Sinai Hospital in severe condition. A 27-year-old man was sent to Mount Sinai in excellent condition after suffering a gunshot wound to the leg.

A second guy, 26, was wounded in the left shoulder but was treated and released at Mount Sinai. “We’re just trying to figure out what happened and move on,” one of the police on the scene explained.

No one was brought into custody while detectives were working.
