Pregnant Woman Among the 2 Injured in Hit-And-Run Crash, Police Say

HOUSTON, Texas — According to Houston Police, two people were hurt in a hit-and-run accident, including a pregnant mother.

Around 2 a.m. Sunday, a crash occurred near the intersection of the Beltway 8 and North Freeway feeder roads.

A man and a pregnant lady were travelling westbound on the Beltway 8 feeder in a Suburban when they were struck by a man driving a Ford F-150 northbound on the North Freeway feeder.

The driver of the F-150 then walked away from the scene, according to witnesses. According to HPD, his whereabouts remain unknown at this moment.

According to authorities, the man and pregnant woman in the Suburban were both brought to the hospital after the incident.

At this time, the man’s condition is unknown. According to authorities, the pregnant woman was bleeding following the incident, but her status and that of her unborn child are unknown at this time.
