2 Dead in Northwest Harris County House Fire

A fire in northwest Harris County killed two persons on Saturday night.

According to the Harris County fire marshall’s office, the fire started in the garage and spread to the remainder of the house on the 11400 block of Milners Point Drive.

The woman was able to flee the house at first, but returned to wake up her lover, according to the fire marshall’s office. Both of them were discovered dead in the main room.

Around 75 firemen attempted to save the couple, but the fire and smoke were too powerful for them to enter the house, according to Northwest Fire Chief Wesley Cole. The fire was extinguished after a while.

The fire marshall’s office hasn’t pinpointed the cause of the blaze, and it’s still being investigated.
