Koloa Man Charged with Attempted Murder

HONOLULU (CSU) — Officials said Kristofer Bush, 26, of Koloa, was charged with attempted murder in the second degree on April 20 after he used a weapon to inflict possibly life-threatening injuries to a 26-year-old woman.

Bush is also suspected of inflicting serious bodily harm to a 21-year-old Eleele man, according to the Kauai Police Department.

The suspect’s first court appearance is set on May 3, according to officials.

Bush may face a life sentence if convicted on an attempted murder charge, according to the Kansas City Police Department.

The defendant, who is 33 years old, is presently being kept in detention on a $500,000 bond.

Bush was charged with first and second-degree assault, three counts of abuse of a family or household member, and fourth-degree criminal property damage. He was also charged with second-degree defying an order to halt a motor vehicle and violating offensive drug restrictions.
