Suspect at Large After Brooklyn Subway Shooting

So far, what have we learned from officials?

Local authorities in New York recently convened a press conference to discuss the Brooklyn subway shooting. This is what they said to us:

Currently, there is an active shooter scenario. The culprit is still on the run, according to authorities, and New Yorkers should be careful.

The shooter was described as a black individual with a hefty frame, measuring approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall, wearing a grey sweatshirt, a green work vest, and a gas mask.

According to reports, the guy put on a mask, fired a smoke canister, then opened fire on people on a Manhattan-bound train passing through Brooklyn.

The incident wounded at least 16 individuals, with 10 of them suffering from gunshot wounds; victims are also being treated for smoke inhalation and terror.

There has been no indication of a motive, and the event is not being investigated as a terrorist attack.

Governor Kathy Hochul promised to use “all of our state’s resources” to combating the city’s rising gun crime.
On Tuesday, officials are anticipated to deliver another update.
