A youngster was rushed to the hospital after being shot Friday afternoon, according to Elizabeth City Police. Just after 5:00 p.m., police responded to the area of Factory Street and Parsonage Street, where they discovered the victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
The degree of the injuries was not disclosed by the police.
